Manaus (AM) – With the expectation of moving R$ 35 million, the largest nautical business fair in the North and Northeast begins on Thursday (27th) – the Barco Show. With free admission, the nautical fair receives support from the Government of Amazonas, through the State Tourism Company (Amazonastur), and takes place until July 30, at the Uiara Resort pier, in the Ponta Negra neighborhood.

For the first time, the capital of Amazonas hosts the Barco Show fair. Responsible for attracting businessmen interested in the nautical potential of the Amazon, the event aimed at business tourism has four days of exposure. Brands such as Evolution Motors, concessionaire of Focker speedboats in Amazonas and Roraima, as well as NXBoats, one of the three largest shipyards in the country, will be in Manaus.

According to the president of Amazonastur, Gustavo Sampaio, the objective is to support events that attract tourists to the state. And business tourism is an important niche, as detailed by the president.

“Amazon is the business state. And, with this event, following the determination of Governor Wilson Lima, we want to transform the capital of Amazonas into the focus of nautical events in the country. Just to give you an idea, business tourism attracted 42% of tourists to Amazonas in 2022, totaling 152,000 people. This is very significant.”

The opening ceremony of the event takes place on Thursday (27), at 1 pm, with the presence of state authorities. On Saturday, at 5 pm, there will be a parade of boats with trends and new technologies in boats.

“Big brands, shipyards and companies in the nautical sector are strongly linked to the event, representing one of the main references in this market. Among them, one of the three largest shipyards in Brazil stands out, which is NXBoats, known for revolutionizing design and combining comfort, modernity and performance in yachts, providing the best experience for sailors with their speedboats”,

According to Hugo Leonardo, two important aspects attract investors to the capital of Amazonas: the significant presence of water transport in the displacement of the population and the opportunities in tourism, from sport fishing to attractions on the edge of Manaus, such as floating ones. In addition to the great potential that the Amazon River has.

According to data from Amazonastur, sport fishing brought 32,000 tourists last year, which represented an injection of around R$ 500 million into the local economy.

Considered the largest Boat Show in the North of Brazil, with the expectation of receiving more than 10 thousand visitors, the fair will have a diversified program, including exhibitions of boats, accessories, nautical equipment and much more.
