Manaus (AM) — Manauara Shopping is preparing a lively and inclusive Carnival for this year. In addition to the traditional Children’s Carnival Ball, something new awaits revelers over 50: the Best Age Ball. The events will be held at Teatro Manauara, on Piso Buriti, on February 11th and 12th, respectively, from 5pm to 8pm.
The festivities include a costume contest for children, while Senior Prom attendees will have the chance to be voted Prom King and Queen. To participate, interested parties must pre-register on the website manauarashopping.com.br by February 9th. Confirmation of participation will be by exchanging one kilo of non-perishable food for a bracelet at the exchange station located on Piso Castanheiras, in front of Carter’s, from this Saturday, 2nd, until next February 9th. Places are limited.
In addition to the dances, Manauara Shopping promises to liven up the corridors with Carnival Parades, with a masquerade ball theme. The parades begin this Saturday, 2nd, and continue every day, until February 14th, starting at 6pm.

Operation
During Carnival, Manauara Shopping will have special opening hours to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festivities comfortably. On Saturday, the 10th, the stores will open normally, from 10am to 10pm, as will the food court. On Sunday, the 11th, the anchor stores will be open from 1pm to 9pm, while the satellite stores will be open from 2pm to 9pm. The food and leisure area will be available from 12pm to 10pm.
On Monday, 12th, normal opening hours will resume, opening from 10am to 10pm. On Tuesday, the 13th, the anchor stores, megastores and the food court will be open from 12pm to 10pm, while other operations will be open from 2pm to 9pm. To end the festive period, on Wednesday the 14th, all mall operations will be open from 12pm to 10pm.
Manauara Shopping
Opened in April 2009, Manauara Shopping’s theme is inspired by the fauna, flora and culture of the Amazon, represented in graphics, decoration, and furniture that are finished with colors and materials from local crafts.
The “Meeting of the Waters” of the Negro and Solimões rivers, one of the biggest tourist attractions in Manaus, inspired the project’s logo and is represented on the building’s roof. With 47 thousand m² of GLA, it has 234 stores spread across its four floors: Buriti, Açaí, Tucumã and Castanheiras. In addition to 10 anchor stores, it has a wide range of leisure options with UCI cinemas, Magic Games – a space for electronic games and entertainment – and a theater with 600 seats.
Manauara Shopping has the 2016 Certificate of Excellence, in the TripAdvisor Shopping category, for the good quality of the reviews it receives from customers and visitors and is in third place in the Tourist Spots category in the city of Manaus.
