Maju Coutinho, Camila Queiroz and other celebrities say goodbye

Friends and family say goodbye to Glória Maria – a journalist who died last Thursday (2nd) after battling cancer -, at the wake held this Friday morning (3rd), at the Crematorium and Cemetery of Penitência, in the Rio neighborhood from Cashew.

The ceremony is restricted to close people. Colleagues like Pollyana Abritta and Maju Coutinho, hosts of “Fantástico”, and Carlos Henrique Schroeder, who was general director of TV Globo, pay homage to the journalist.

The actor couple Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo are also on site. “It’s a very difficult time,” Camila said. Kleber cultivated a friendship with Glória for about a decade. It was to the journalist that the actor confided that he was in love with Camila shortly after their first meeting, in 2016, behind the scenes of the soap opera “Êta mundo bão!”.

“Right after I had just stayed with Camila, I met Glória and she asked me: ‘How is my heart?’ , in a recent participation in the “Altas Horas” program.

Names like Marina Ruy Barbosa, who had Glória as maid of honor at her wedding, Luiza Brunet, Narcisa Tamborindeguy and Bruno Astuto, as well as colleagues from TV Globo, are also on site, paying condolences to Glória’s daughters – Maria, 15 years old, and Laura, aged 14.

Journalist Poliana Abritta was one of Glória’s friends who stopped to talk to the press:

— Gloria was a beautiful, loving, dear friend who will always be with us. She deserves all the honors. The greatest tribute is to keep her alive with that smile, that freedom and that huge love from a giant heart. She always stays in all of us (journalists).

Businesswoman and stylist Lenny Niemeyer also left words of affection and regret:

“I’m sorry about the daughters. It was a dream Gloria had, and the girls are too young to be alone. Gloria was strong, human, with personality. There aren’t even enough adjectives to talk about her. She was the happiest person I knew. She was always dancing, singing…she was someone very special.
