In all, R$ 62.6 billion will be paid. The benefit is usually only paid in the second half of the year, but since 2020 payments have been anticipated for the first six months of the year. INSS insured persons who during this year have received aid for temporary disability, accident aid, retirement, death pension or imprisonment aid are entitled to the allowance. Readjustment The social security floor, the minimum value of INSS benefits, became R$ 1,320 on May 1st – following the new value of the national minimum wage. Until April, the floor was R$ 1,302. According to the Ministry of Social Security, throughout 2023, the new value of the social security floor will correspond to an increase of R$ 3.29 billion in the income of INSS beneficiaries who receive benefits equal to the minimum wage. The increase, however, did not change the values ​​of INSS benefits above the minimum wage, since these benefits are readjusted according to inflation measured by the National Consumer Price Index (INPC).
