Activity entitled ‘The Extravagance in Fashion: the Rococo of France’ will be taught by visual artist, curator and art teacher, Paulo Holanda

Manaus (AM) – The influence of fashion icons in the world is the theme of the Alliance Française Manaus Fashion Atelier, promoted by the French Alliance, from 2 pm to 5 pm, this Saturday (5). The investment costs R$ 25.00 plus 1k of non-perishable food that will be sent to Lar das Marias.

According to the AF director, Avelino Rodrigues, the Ateliê de Moda Alliance Française Manaus target audience is interested in French culture, fashion students, arts, design and architecture.

“The studio will address characteristic elements of the Rococo period in France and its influence on fashion, in particular. Presenting art history and theory in its first moment, and the practical part in the second moment, where participants will sketch a fashion production based on this period of art history”,

adds Rodrigues.

The activity will be conducted by the visual artist, curator and art teacher, Paulo Holanda. He is a doctoral candidate in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Master in Human Sciences at the State University of Amazonas (UEA), licensed in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM).

The materials used in the studio will be: scissors, white glue, white A4 paper, old magazines and newspapers.
