In Manaus, Centro de Ensino Técnico offers a contest with grants of up to 100%

Registration is being done by donating a new toy or one in good condition

Manaus (AM) – The Centro de Ensino Técnico (Centec) is accepting applications for the 2023 scholarship competition. The discounts for those classified in 1st, 2nd and 3rd are 100%. From the 4th to the 6th place, it will be 50%, and from the 7th to the 10th, 30%. All who are not yet students of the institution and are classified, from the 11th, will have a 15% discount on tuition.

About to complete 14 years of existence in Manaus, the institution currently offers 35 courses, among auxiliary, technical, post-technical and post-graduate specializations. Entries for those interested in participating in the scholarship competition are open until July 14th and must be done online, with face-to-face validation at the school.

“Our contest reaches its fourth edition this year and is a project within Centec Social, a philanthropic arm of the school. We understand the event as our way of contributing to greater access to education, offering students the opportunity to enroll in a technical or specialization course, with discounts ranging from 15% to 100%”,

says the general director of Centec, Driele Cazumba.

According to the public notice, anyone who has completed high school (in the public or private network) or who is studying from the 2nd year onwards is eligible to participate in the event. The exception is for the technical course in radiology, which has as a prerequisite the student to be of legal age and to have completed basic education. Specializations and postgraduate courses require previous training in a related area.

One of the novelties this year is the solidarity registration, which can be done with the delivery of a new or well-maintained toy. The first step is to access the website www.centec-am.com.br and pre-register online. Afterwards, the participant must validate the registration by delivering the toy to the Centec enrollment center, located at Avenida Djalma Batista, 646 – São Geraldo. It is also necessary to carry a copy of the identity document, Individual Taxpayer Registration (CPF) and proof of residence.

“Every year we choose an institution to carry out a social action. As the contest will end in July, we will use this opportunity to collect toys and make a super donation in October, children’s month. We will even be receiving donations until August, in case anyone wants to contribute, regardless of the contest”,

Driel explains.

Opportunities

With more than a decade of operation, Centec has 35 auxiliary, technical, specialization or postgraduate courses. Those who participate in the course and obtain a discount can enroll, for example, in technical courses in the health area (nursing, aesthetics, clinical analysis and more) or management courses (administration, accounting, human resources and others).

A survey carried out by the Roberto Marinho Foundation and partners demonstrates the weight of technical courses in the curriculum of employees in companies. Of the total of 800 companies interviewed by the study, 42% stated that young people with technical training remain at the company and evolve in their positions. Already 61% of them have a manager who entered the company with technical training at the medium level.

Content and evidence

The tests will be held on July 23, from 9 am to 12 pm. The gates will open to participants from 8:00 am, closing at 8:45 am. It is necessary to bring proof of registration and an official photo ID. The exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, 15 of which are Portuguese, 15 mathematics and 10 general knowledge. The content covers subjects from the three grades of high school and can be checked in the announcement.

The results of the tests will be released on July 24th through the school website and at Centec’s headquarters. Approved applicants must enroll between July 24th and 29th. Classes start on August 1st. The documents required for each level (assistant, technical, specialization or graduate) are also available in the public notice.
