Michael Gambon, actor who played the eternal director of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, in the “Harry Potter” franchise, died this Thursday (28), aged 82. The information was confirmed by the artist’s team.

The artist was the second to play the character in the cinema. In 2002, actor Richard Harris died while still working on the saga.

Gambon played the character from the third film in the sequence, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabanuntil the end of the franchise, which ended in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

The actor was part of all the films in the franchise, which began in 2001, with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stoneand completed in 2011, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

He was also successful for his work as the character Valentin Zukovsky, in 007 – The World is Not Enough It is 007 Against GoldenEye.

He played the famous Hogwarts headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, when he died of lymphatic cancer at the age of 72, in 2002.

Harris, who has more than 30 productions under his belt, participated in the first two films in the saga and then had to be replaced by Michael Gambon, who played the wizard until the conclusion of the plot.
