‘If I drank a liter of vodka a day, I wouldn’t even be alive’

Raquel Pacheco, known as Bruna Surfistinha, countered the statement made by her now ex-husband and father to her two daughters, Xico Santos, that she is an “absent mother” and “consumed a bottle of vodka a day”.

“If I drank a liter a day, I don’t think I’d even be here,” she said in a comment on Instagram.

Last Friday, Bruna posted with her ex-husband and their two daughters, Maria and Elis, 1 year and 5 months old. In the caption, she said that the two try to maintain a good relationship in favor of the twins and joked, asking for sponsorship of a brand of vodka. “Notice me there, I drink a liter a day”.

The ex-husband, then, commented and returned to talk about Surfistinha’s addiction to alcohol: “No, no! Because it contains irony. Excessive consumption has to be treated seriously and not as an escape or excuses”.

Two weeks ago, Bruna Surfistinha’s ex-husband went public to refute the writer’s statements about the decision to have left home, as well as to abandon their daughters. Posing with the children on his lap, the artist spoke a little about his relationship with Raquel Pacheco and said he was a “solo father”, since the daughters had an “absent mother”.

“Diary of a solo dad and an absent mom: I experienced parenthood in a different way than I imagined. Being a full-time and solo dad for a year and five months. The ‘mom’? Attached to her bottle of vodka (consuming a per day). Wow! ‘But she needs help’. Yes, she has needed help for 11 years. Xico also said that, alongside his daughters, he needed to learn how to deal with Raquel’s mood swings and that he only decided to make the textão on the web after the statements given by her in a podcast.

Former Bruna Surfistinha said that the decision came from Xico to end the marriage two and a half years ago about a week ago. They are the parents of Elis and Maria, 1 year and 5 months old. The former call girl reported that the now ex-couple went into a major crisis after she suffered an abortion in August last year.

“It’s still very difficult to talk about it (…) I got pregnant last year, in July, I found out in August and ended up losing it, unfortunately. It was an unwanted child, it scared us, we were accepting it. Unfortunately, I ended up having a miscarriage at home. And since then, a lot has changed. I had no support after my miscarriage. I didn’t receive a hug, a word of comfort from Xico. It was my friends who welcomed me at that time. Then I realized that, as a woman, I wasn’t being a nobody there”, said Raquel in “Podsexy”.

The former couple returned to São Paulo at the beginning of the year, after spending two years living in Rio, without working and dedicating themselves fully to their daughters. Crying, she recalls the day her ex-husband asked for separation and left home:

“More than once I gave Xico a chance. We had some fights and some questions that crossed my mind to break up with him, but then I was already a mother… For a long time, I thought a lot about the girls. I thought: “I’m going to take my daughters’ father away. All I didn’t want was my daughters growing up without their father, because I missed their father so much. I didn’t want my daughters to grow up without their father. But it was necessary and one day I hope that they understand. (…) When he left the house, he had his backpack ready, I said: are you sure, Xico? You’re going to leave us here… and he went. my head was: you don’t love me, you never loved me. For all the difficulties we went through, he wanted to go, he blocked me”.
