ICMBio competition: notice for 98 environmental analyst vacancies

The Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) launched this Wednesday (25) the notice for the public competition with the aim of hiring 98 environmental analysts and forming a reserve register.

The selection process will be carried out by the Brazilian Center for Research in Assessment and Selection and Promotion of Events (Cebraspe), with registrations starting on November 3rd.

According to the document, of the total vacancies, 73 will be open to competition, 20 will be reserved for black candidates and five for people with disabilities. Candidates must have a higher education degree in any area of ​​knowledge, with a diploma registered and recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).

The initial salary expected for the position, 40 hours of work per week, is R$9,475.72 and may even be higher if the successful candidate has a specialization, master’s degree or doctorate. Among the activities that must be performed by professionals are regulation, control, inspection, licensing and environmental auditing; environmental monitoring; management, protection and control of environmental quality; planning forestry and fishing resources; conservation of ecosystems and the species within them; and stimulation and dissemination of environmental technologies, information and education.

In addition to passing the objective and discursive tests of the selection process, candidates must have Brazilian or Portuguese nationality; be over 18 years old and be in compliance with electoral and military obligations and enjoy political rights.

To compete for reserved vacancies, candidates with disabilities will also undergo a biopsychosocial assessment and black candidates will undergo the hetero-identification procedure, complementary to self-declaration.

The registration fee for the public competition is R$110 and can be paid after registering for the site of Cebraspe, in the period between 10am on November 3rd and 6pm on November 22nd (Brasília time). During this period, an exemption from the registration fee may also be requested.

The tests will be administered on January 21, 2024 and will assess knowledge related to the Portuguese language; English language; notions of public management; notions of administrative law; notions of constitutional law; environmental legislation and standards; public integrity; current affairs; biodiversity, forests and animal rights; climate change; environmental quality and bioeconomy; environmental management.

In addition to the vacancies made available, the competition will organize a reserve register with candidates approved in the selection process and classified, with 147 candidates for vacancies with broad competition, ten candidates for vacancies destined for people with disabilities and 39 candidates for vacancies destined for black people.
