In 2000, this portion of the population had a smaller predominance, being the majority in 213 cities (95%). In 2022, the municipalities in Piauí with the highest participation of the population of mixed race or color were: Pau D’Arco do Piauí (83.20%), Boqueirão do Piauí (82.15%) and Santo Antônio dos Milagres (81.67 %).
