Holy Week: see bank opening hours – 04/03/2023 – Market
[ad_1]
Banks across the country will be closed on two Fridays in April. The first in which there will be no bank service is this Good Friday (7), due to the Holy Week festivities.
The office will also be interrupted on Friday (21), Tiradentes Day, according to information from Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks).
Customers can be assisted at a distance, through online banking —websites and applications—, by telephone or at ATMs, which remain available throughout the banking network.
Remote operation will normally take place throughout the holiday, according to Febraban. “Digital service channels are available and offer virtually all financial transactions in the banking system”, says Walter Tadeu Faria, deputy director of services at the federation.
The consumer, however, needs to pay attention to the payment of bills. In general, slips have an extended due date, but the ideal is to confirm the exact date of discharge.
Consumption bills, such as water, electricity, electricity and telephone bills, among others, that are due on the day of the holiday, can be paid on the next business day, without any increase in interest and fines. The same rule applies to payment booklets.
According to Febraban, normally these payments already come with dates adjusted to the calendar of national, state and municipal holidays, but the suggestion is to check the date of discharge of the tribute. If the institution did not change, the tip is to anticipate the discharge, if possible, so as not to pay charges.
Securities that have a bar code can be scheduled for payment through ATMs, internet banking and the bank’s telephone service.
Understand paying bills on the holiday
- Customers must settle their bank accounts in accordance with contractual dates or legal rules
- By law, on holidays, consumption bills have the date extended to the next business day, without charge
- Some taxes, on the other hand, have their date advanced, as is the case with contributions to the INSS for some categories of insured persons.
- It is necessary to pay attention to the due date of each bill or tax
- When there is no banking operation, the banking network must offer channels for alternative payments, such as over the internet
- Procon-SP recommends that the customer contact the SAC (Customer Service) of the company or bank to obtain information on paying the bills, if they have any questions.
How to access the bank account outside the branch
