According to a survey by Abrasel, the Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants, 93% of food establishment owners say they have hired inexperienced employees, due to the lack of qualified workers in the market. For Tonin, better quality of service is an important differentiator at the moment.
The possible return of daylight saving time is an opportunity to extend operating hours, especially with increased demand during happy hour.
Although the heat wave indicates growth in demand for bars and restaurants in the second half of the year, the temperature has surprised tourists who travel to the South region looking for cold weather. Dishes typical of the warmer season are a good bet, according to the economist.
“Given this scenario, improving the quality of services offered by establishments becomes an important challenge. Those who manage to raise this quality will make the most of the increase in demand in the second half of the year. Added to this, it is crucial to invest in social media channels, as consumers’ income is still restricted due to debt and inflation in recent years. Consumers pay attention to promotions, making social networks a fundamental means of attracting and engaging customers”, concludes the economist.
