Grupo Semper Estrelas makes its debut at Pagode do Decreto

Pagode do Decreto hosts this Sunday (17) the debut of Grupo Semper Estrelas, which aims to continue the legacy left by Negão Estrela, the band’s lead singer, who passed away last month.

The group will be led by Luan Canário, Cassiano Souza and Vitinho. The vocal trio comes to conquer and further engage the public with a mixed repertoire that ranges from Samba Raiz, Romantic, Swing, MPB and has musical influences on artists such as Sorriso Maroto, Thiaguinho, Zeca Pagodinho, Leci Brandão, Beth Carvalho, Fundo de Quintal, Exaltasamba, among others.

In addition to Grupo Semper Estrelas, Pagode do Decreto also welcomes Dennys Salvador, Elite do Samba, Julinho, Yurii and Dj Rogério. Grupo Semper Estrelas has plans to record a DVD next year, featuring new songs and reinterpretations of pagode hits.

The pagoda

The Decree Pagoda has become a tradition in Manaus and takes place every Sunday from 5pm, at Espaço Via Torres, located on Avenida das Torres, in the north of the capital. With a large space and investing in infrastructure, a modern, comfortable and Instagrammable environment, the pagoda has brought together more than five thousand people per event.

From a Christian home, Luan Canário started playing double bass in 2011. However, his musical career began in September 2013, when he represented the LG factory in the Industrial Freshmen Competition in Manaus, where he won the competition.

“I believe that, with a lot of work and perhaps guided by destiny, it is possible to achieve recognition, build a consolidated career and, above all, be respected for offering excellent work, without belittling or diminishing anyone. I maintain the faith that, in this new challenge, we will achieve unimaginable feats together. Because, although I can go far alone, it is with friends that we surpass our limits and reach new horizons”, he said.

The group’s number 10, as Cassiano Souza is known, is the band’s vocalist, violinist and music producer. Cassiano is considered one of the best guitarists in Manaus, has produced big-name bands in the capital and currently produces and is part of Grupo Semper Estrelas.

“It’s an honor to produce a band like this, and to be the front with these two singers who I admire and respect, not to mention the musicians, who are sensational and make the show happen together with us, and there’s a lot of new stuff out there” , he declares.

The new promise of the pagode, Vitinho began his career at the age of 13, making appearances in pagodas in the capital. In 2014 she signed up for The Voice Kids, where she reached the penultimate stage, however, due to some difficulties she was unable to continue. But he didn’t stop there, he joined the Amazonas children’s choir, where he spent 5 years. He took a two-year break in his career, but in 2021 he joined a famous pagode band and stayed for a year and a half. Today he returns to the stage, now with Grupo Semper Estrelas.

“I went through a phase of respiratory care that only strengthened my desire to sing, today I return to the stage with Grupo Semper Estrelas, a dream that is beginning and that will change the lives of all of us.”, he highlights.
