The Muffato Group opened the chain’s 100th food retail unit, Max Atacadista Interlagos, in São Paulo. It is the 10th wholesale store converted after the purchase of Makro and the 14th wholesale store opened this year. With 19 thousand square meters of built area and 550 parking spaces, the new store is next to Shopping Interlagos.

The Muffato Group made its first expansion move in the 1980s, in Foz do Iguaçu. He then arrived in the north of Paraná and the capital Curitiba, entering the state of São Paulo, in 2001, with the Super Muffato of Presidente Prudente.

The chain has been investing in its wholesale brand to serve families looking for competitive prices, as well as traders and processors. The new store models add services, such as a butcher’s shop with personalized service, a bakery with in-house products, confectionery, portioned or sliced cold cuts on the spot, a variety of fruit and vegetables, a freshness concept, a large bazaar and a wine cellar with labels from different countries. The idea is to combine low prices and convenience, accepting the main credit, debit and food voucher brands.

According to Ederson Muffato, “Grupo Muffato reaches 100 units seeking to offer a simple way of shopping, in retail and cash-and-carry. For each of our brands, we want to provide good shopping experiences, according to what the consumer is looking for. Whether it’s the economy, wholesale, retail services, the exclusivity of gourmet lines or the agility of the autonomous store, we want to serve our customers, attentive to their needs. Max Interlagos is the third of seven stores we will have in greater São Paulo.”
