Government transfers R$ 600,000 to boost the primary sector in Iranduba and Juruá

More than R$600,000 in financial resources were passed on to boost the primary sector in the municipalities of Iranduba and Juruá

Manaus (AM) – The Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat for Rural Production (Sepror), transferred, this Tuesday (4), more than R$ 600 thousand in financial resources to boost the primary sector in the municipalities of Iranduba and Juruá ( 27 and 674 kilometers from Manaus, respectively).

The head of Sepror, Petrucio Magalhães Júnior, emphasizes the commitment that Governor Wilson Lima has with the municipalities of Iranduba and Juruá, through transfers of resources, aiming to develop the primary sector in a sustainable way.

“The fishermen’s colony of Iranduba will receive a box truck to transport the production, and the riverside communities of Juruá will receive solar panels to acquire clean energy, this is a sustainability action. Thanks to these partnerships, it has been possible to carry out these transformations”,

says Petrucio.

For the Fishermen’s Colony of Iranduba, R$ 300,000 was transferred for the acquisition of a vehicle for transporting cargo, strengthening fishing activities and economic development, stimulating the primary sector in the region. The appeal comes from a parliamentary amendment by state deputy João Luiz.

“Another resource for the evolution of the fishing sector in our interior. I thank the Government of Amazonas for the dynamism in releasing the amendments to benefit the fishermen who need it most”,

says Joao Luiz.

According to the president of the Iranduba Fishermen’s Colony, Eduardo Cavalcante, the organization brings together around 1,500 associated fishermen, who need this help for the logistics of fish.

“Now the fishermen can dispose of their fish and load their materials. We have been asking for it for a long time, and thanks to Governor Wilson Lima and Deputy João Luiz, we have been able to do so”,

More than R$ 303,800 were allocated to the City of Juruá for the acquisition of solar panels, seeking to serve the communities of Botafogo and Antonina, benefiting approximately 70 families of producers directly and indirectly. The appeal comes from state deputy Cabo Maciel.

The purpose is to reduce electricity costs and provide positive environmental results with sustainable development in low-income communities, in addition to encouraging savings in daily agricultural production.

“I would like to thank Wilson Lima, who is an interior governor who visits municipalities and knows the difficulties and peculiarities. These plates will benefit communities with clean and quality energy, which contributes a lot to the environment. The duty here has been fulfilled, so that these people are attended to. With this, the municipality of Juruá will move forward”,
