Government opens registration for guided tours at Bumbódromo, in Parintins

Registration is open for visiting the Cultural Center of Parintins, the Bumbódromo. Bookings are always made for visits on the following day, visitors who book on the 27th (today) will be able to visit the space on the 28th (Wednesday), and so on until the 2nd of July, the last day for the visitation. Entries can be made on the website cultura.am.gov.br.
According to the government, visitors will have the opportunity to spend 40 minutes immersed in the folk culture of Parintins through exhibitions, murals, sculptures and screening of films related to the Festival. The visiting groups will be made up of 10 people accompanied by a guide, the Murals of Vitória from Popular Culture and Affective Memory of the bois-bumbás are among the attractions of the activity, in addition to sculptures in high relief in the external area of the Bumbódromo, which exalt the high performance of artists from Parintins when portraying their culture.
The Cine Club, which is also part of the Cultural Center space, will be one of the points for visitors who take part in the activity, with short films produced throughout the year by Liceu students. Also part of the experience is the appreciation of the panoramic view, visits to the cabins of the Caprichoso and Garantido oxen and the interior corridors of the most important space for the greatest manifestation of popular culture in the Amazon. The visitation route also includes the Futuro Ancestral mural on the lateral façade and, also, a visit to the center of the Arena do Bumbódromo. Visiting times are between 9 am and 1 pm.
For the second year in a row, the Parintins Folklore Festival will feature this extra attraction for visitors to Tupinambarana Island: the guided tour that takes place free of charge inside the Bumbódromo, where the Lyceum of Arts and Crafts Cláudio Santoro, Parintins unit, is also located. Around a thousand visits will be offered over the five days of the festival, each day will have a total of 200 people previously scheduled.
