Gloria Maria wins honors from Globo; broadcaster shows ‘Globo reporter’ and ‘Lady night’ with the journalist

Over five decades, Gloria Maria marked the history of Brazilian television, with her reports, interviews and trips to hundreds of countries. This Thursday, the 2nd, all news programs on TV Globo and GloboNews recall important moments in her career. But the pioneering spirit, legacy and unique way of doing journalism made Gloria Maria go beyond the limits of television news. The experience gained in reporting in Brazil and around the world by the journalist with training wheels on her legs, as they used to call her because of her passion for travel, also turned her into a coveted character on talk shows. Globo is preparing a series of tributes to the journalist on TV Globo, GloboNews, GNT, Multishow, VIVA, Globoplay and Canal Brasil.

At the ‘Lady night’, which TV Globo re-presents this Thursday night, after ‘BBB 23’, Gloria did not escape Tatá Wernerck’s disconcerting questions. The interview will also be replayed by Multishow, this Thursday at 21:00 and on Sunday at 18:30. On Friday, the 3rd, at Afternoon sessionTV Globo re-airs two reports by Gloria Maria on ‘Globo reporter’ traveling along the coast of China. In the attraction, it is possible to see the journalist jumping from the highest bungee jump in the world, in Macau, and having fun feeding a panda bear in Hong Kong. And, after ‘Jornal da Globo’, the ‘Conversation with Bial’ reprises the interview given by Gloria Maria and shown on the anniversary of Brazilian TV, on May 18, 2020. To Pedro Bial, her personal friend and with whom she anchored ‘Fantástico’ for almost 10 years, Gloria recalled important moments of her career and the racism suffered in the exercise of his trade in a video interview, made during the pandemic. The interview will also be shown on GloboNews next Saturday, the 4th, at 11 pm.

Other honors

In his honor, the GNT re-presents today, at 22:50, the ‘Monday chat’, shown for the first time in March 2021, with the presence of the journalist as a guest. In the episode, Glória talks about ageism and sapiosexuality with Emicida, Fábio Porchat, João Vicente de Castro and Chico Bosco. Then, at 00:20, on the ‘What is this story, Porchat?’, it will be possible to recall a curious experience of Gloria on a trip to the Himalayas. Tomorrow, the 3rd, from 22:30, the channel also show an episode of ‘Fair exit’ in which the journalist talks with Saias about self-esteem, the sacredness of each one and the informality of cariocas. At midnight, the channel re-airs Gloria’s interview on ‘Marília Gabriela Interview’. Finally, on the 4th, at 10:30 pm, Karol Conka’s conversation with Glória Maria and Palloma Maremoto about feeling good in one’s own skin at the ‘Super beautiful’.

already the ALIVE airs tonight (2nd), before the unpublished chapter of “Caminho das Índias”, a special edition of Gloria Maria’s interview at the TV Woman remake. In the episode, Marília Gabriela talks with the journalist about professional life, travel and racial issues.

Gloria Maria’s journey through the freezing winter of Norway, one of the coldest countries in the world, will be re-screened by GloboNews next Saturday, the 4th, at 9 am and on Sunday, the 5th, at 5 pm. In this Globo Repórter, the journalist showed what it’s like to live in a place where the white of the snow dominates the landscape for half the year and daylight lasts only three hours. He slept in an ice hotel, where temperatures reach minus 40º, dived into a freezing fjord and sleighed on a two-kilometer track and pure adrenaline, the small vehicles have no brakes and can reach 20 kilometers per hour. A clip with key moments from the journalist’s career will also be shown on GloboNews’ Sunday Special, which will air from 6 pm.

THE Brazil Channel this morning, at 00:30, the interview between Lázaro Ramos and Gloria Maria on the program ‘Mirror’recorded 10 years ago, in which the journalist talks about the beginning of her career, family, prejudice and representativeness.

At the Globoplay, all journalistic coverage and tributes by TV Globo and Globo News to Gloria are highlighted. On the “Relembre Gloria Maria” track, remarkable programs and reports of her or with her are available in attractions such as ‘Programa do Jô’, ‘Lady Night’ and ‘Conversa com Bial’, as well as her emblematic interviews with Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elton John, among others.
