The event will have the participation of poets and is part of the “Teias” series, starting at 6pm
Manaus (AM) – The exhibition “Haicais na Teia” will be presented with free entry this Friday (12), starting at 6pm, at the Centro de Artes Visuais Galeria do Largo, located on Rua Costa Azevedo, Centro. The event will be attended by writer Márcia Antonelli, who will speak to the public about the art of writing haiku.
“The haiku basically consists of a short poem, which generally expresses some type of relationship between humans and nature”, explained Márcia, who talks about the objective of the exhibition. “Most people don’t know what it’s about. Many people have no idea that great writers like Thiago de Melo and Aníbal Beça were great authors of haiku. That’s why we seek to take this art so that more people can learn about it”,
concluded the writer.
In addition to being curated by Márcia Antonelli, the exhibition also features the presence of writers Miguel de Souza, Grace Cordeiro and Gracinete Felinto, who will present their works and be available for interaction with the public present.
“I think the public can expect a lot of good things. It’s something graceful to do haiku, something spectacular, something even philosophical. This issue of contemplating nature, this intermediation between man and nature, I think human beings have lost a lot of this in the age of technology. It’s a good time to remember,”
declared Marcia.
The exhibition is part of the “Teias” series, which has been active since November at Galeria do Largo, bringing artists and writers to exhibit their works.
