Fans of “Friends” will soon see the reference to the orange sofa at the entrance to Aqui Doceria, a pastry shop inspired by the famous series from the 1990s in Campo Limpo, south of São Paulo.
The furniture resembles that of the fictional coffee shop Central Perk, where the sextet of friends from the series met. Other references are present in the decoration of the space. The walls and chairs are painted lilac, the same color as Courteney Cox’s character Mônica’s apartment.
A neon sign displays the phrase “How you doin?”, the slogan of the character Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Chandler’s best friend — played by Matthew Perry, the actor who died this Saturday, aged 54.
There are also pictures of the characters and illustrations of elements that refer to the story. A TV shows episodes of “Friends” non-stop.
On the menu, there are freshly assembled desserts, such as pot cakes, brownies, brigadeiros and donuts — these named as “the paleontologist’s one”, with milk chocolate topping and brigadeiro (R$ 16), and “the hippie’s one”, with passion fruit filling (R$ 16).
Another option is to order combos, like Rachel’s, which includes a donut, chicken pie and a drink made with green apple syrup and lemon soda, as well as a yellow frame, for R$40.
To drink, there are coffees, milkshakes and non-alcoholic drinks. Savory snacks such as hot mixed, pie, pie and sandwiches complete the menu.
