Event promoted by Studio Belcanto will feature performances by Davy Chaves and Patrícia Botelho, founding teachers of the school
Manaus (AM) – Great lyrical songs by immortal composers such as Schubert and Mozart and contemporary classics of musical theater present in Wicked, Cabaret and Chicago are part of the repertoire of the recital promoted by Studio Belcanto, this Saturday (29), at 7 pm, at the Palace of Justice, with free admission.
Accompanied by conductor Hilo Carriel on the piano, performers Davy Chaves and Patrícia Botelho, founding teachers of Studio Belcanto, will deliver a show to the public with the practical result of the techniques taught to singing students at the school throughout the school year, with the property of someone who has more than 20 years of artistic career.
According to the artists, the purpose of choosing this repertoire is to show the musical practice called “crossover”. “It requires the singer’s versatility to transition between musical styles, adjusting each to its vocal technical characteristics, with brilliant vocal execution at every change”,
points out the singer, actor and maestro Davy Chaves.
“It is not easy and therefore requires a lot of vocal technical study, understanding of voice physiology, physical and respiratory resistance to perform within the proposed repertoire. It should always be done by professionals in the area of singing who are trained and experienced in the techniques and vocal styles that will be performed”,
adds the multi-artist Patrícia Botelho, who, in addition to being a singer, has training as an actress and dancer.
