Five local attractions are confirmed at ‘#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2023’

Event takes place between September 5th and 7th, in the historic center of the city

Manaus (AM) – Manaus City Hall, through the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), announced the first five names that will compose the line-up of local attractions for “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2023”, between 5 and 7 September, in the historic center of the city.

Rebecca Grana, Johnny Jack Mesclado, James Rios, Célio Costa and Jô Souza are the confirmed names, who are among the more than 600 local artists of the largest Festival of Integrated Arts in the North and the second largest festival in Brazil.

The director-president of Manauscult, Osvaldo Cardoso, spoke about giving opportunities to local artists, valuing the talents of the land.

“Our goal is to encourage and value artists from here more and more, putting on a great event like #SouManaus, which is the second largest festival in Brazil and the largest in the North, is to guarantee visibility and even national prominence to our local artists, that is, we are giving them the opportunity to stand out and, who knows, leverage their careers at a national level”,

On social media, singer Rebecca Grana said that singing at #SouManaus 2023 is a dream come true and took the opportunity to thank the public.

“Face! You asked for my show at #SouManaus 2023. You know, I have no words to thank you. I promise to deliver my best, as I always try to do. I promise to give my soul and bring a lot of joy to all of you, thank you so much for everything, you take me to places I never imagined”,

said Grana.

On instagram, the band Johnny Jack Mesclado, when announcing the selection, also thanked the public for the requests on social networks. “It is with great satisfaction that we announce that we were selected to participate in #SouManaus, the largest Integrated Arts Festival in the North. Thank you to everyone who tagged and mentioned Johnny, thanks”, commented the profile.

In the religious line, the first confirmed is the singer, songwriter and broadcaster Célio Costa, who is part of the Catholic community. He took advantage of the announcement by the CEO, Osvaldo Cardoso, on social networks, to thank him for his participation in the festival.

“Now it’s official! We will be at #SouManaus 2023, Célio Costa and Banda. We are very happy to take the word of God through music and represent the Catholic community in Amazonas. Gratitude to God in the first place, Manaus City Hall, through Manauscult, and to all our friends and brothers who suggested Célio Costa as an attraction this year”,

reaffirmed.

By August, all selected artists will be announced through the official social networks of Manaus City Hall and Manauscult. It is worth noting that Manauscult’s curatorship will prioritize those artists who have not yet had the opportunity to participate in any edition of #SouManaus.
