The Pinacoteca gained an attraction. This is not a work of art, but the Fitó restaurant, which will occupy the three buildings of the cultural institution in São Paulo.
The main one, located in Luz, is under renovation to house the country cuisine of Ceará chef Cafira Foz, based in Pinheiros. Meanwhile, a Fitó cart sells snacks, sweets and wines, which can be sampled in a garden.
When opened, the restaurant will have a menu of Brazilian and contemporary food. Some of these recipes are available at Pina Contemporânea, the most recent unit. Pina Estação serves cakes and snacks at collective tables.
The novelty adds to other museums and cultural spaces in the capital of São Paulo that have good gastronomic representatives, some of them renowned chefs. There are also simpler options, with quick meals to satisfy your hunger during the tour. Find out below.
Santander Lighthouse
The cultural space in the center has three gastronomic options. The Boteco do 28 restaurant is on the 28th floor and offers São Paulo dishes and snacks. Café do 26 by Mag Café allows you to sample coffees, savory and sweet dishes with a panoramic view of the city, from the top of the 26th floor — there is also a space in the hall. The Safe Bar occupies an old vault in the basement and serves SubAstor signature cocktails. You need to buy a ticket (R$40) to access some places.

IMS
Along with the opening of Instituto Moreira Salles on Avenida Paulista, in 2017, Balaio was born, a restaurant run by chef Rodrigo Oliveira, from Mocotó. There, he prepares more original recipes and presents a Brazilian menu, served for lunch and dinner. There are dishes like Bragantina sausage rice with ribs and okra (R$82). On the 5th floor, Balaio Café has naturally fermented breads, cakes and coffees.

Japan Casa, Lar
Dedicated to Japanese culture, the cultural space has a restaurant dedicated to this cuisine, Aizomê, headed by Telma Shiraishi. It serves hot dishes, sushi and a type of combo, settos. The tonkatsu (R$70) includes items such as breaded pork loin, gohan and miso soup. On the ground floor, there is the new Aizomê café, with teas, coffees, savory snacks and sweets.

MAC-USP
On the roof of the contemporary art museum, close to Ibirapuera Park, is Vista, a restaurant with a Brazilian menu designed by chef Tuca Mezzomo. In addition to the panoramic view of the city, the highlights are recipes such as the rice-cateto cooked with shrimp, mussels, scallops and octopus in its broth and the duck magret with rice cooked in tucupi — each dish costs R$119.

MAM
Anyone going to the Museum of Modern Art, inside Ibirapuera Park, can have a meal at the Prêt no MAM restaurant and café. There, lunch is served in a room with glass windows and the menu changes every day. Snacks, cakes, coffees and desserts are also options offered from Tuesday to Sunday.

Masp
In a room decorated with wooden spoons, clay pieces and paintings, A Baianeira is the restaurant that occupies the museum on Avenida Paulista. Chef Manuelle Ferraz also runs a café in the basement. The menus have dishes for lunch, savory snacks, snacks and sweets with a half-Bahian, half-Minas Gerais accent. One of the favorites is the cheese bread stuffed with beef, egg and zucchini vinaigrette with goat cheese (R$ 34). It is not necessary to pay for entry, but reservations are recommended.

MIS
In the garden at the back of the Museum of Image and Sound is Pipo, a signature cuisine by chef Felipe Bronze, from Rio de Janeiro’s Oro. The tasting menu (R$ 245) highlights preparations made over charcoal, such as ribs roasted for 18 hours served with soft egg farofa and banana vinaigrette. The museum also has its own café, where snacks, snacks, cakes and drinks are served.
