Manaus (AM) – Economist Ana Maria Souza, current Deputy Executive Superintendent, will carry out the regulatory attributions of Superintendent of the Free Zone of Manaus until the appointment of a new holder.

Suframa’s career employee, the economist pointed out that, when exercising the interim position of superintendent, she will prioritize the progress and feasibility of internal and external processes, including the approval of industrial and service projects and the extension of contracts and tenders that require the endorsement of the holder of the highest office in the Autarchy.

“In this transition period, we are going to reorganize the process routines, guaranteeing the functioning of Suframa and the Manaus Free Trade Zone in all states where we operate, until the appointment of the new superintendent”,

stressed Ana Maria Souza.

The official legal basis for the choice came after the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) defined, through Opinion Conjur-MDIC/CGU/AGU No. assume the attributions of the superintendent of Suframa, in case of vacancy of the holder.

The opinion was sent to Suframa’s Office this Thursday (26) and was signed by the Union lawyer and general coordinator of Productivity and Competitiveness, Marcos Henrique Oliveira Andrade Góis.

The impasse had been generated after the publication of the dismissal of General Algacir Antônio Polsin from the position of superintendent of Suframa, on the last January 2nd, accompanied by the dismissal of the server Marcelo Souza Pereira, then Executive Deputy Superintendent, who would be the regimental substitute of the superintendent .
