The rain cake is a classic snack on cold afternoons. The recipe from our childhoods is quickly prepared with ingredients that everyone usually has at home: eggs, sugar, wheat flour and milk.
The cookies should have a dry, sugary texture with a slight cinnamon flavor. They need to be fried little by little, in hot oil, the fire not too high, so they don’t get raw inside. All right, just enjoy!
FRITTER
Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat flour (tea)
- 2 tablespoons refined sugar
- 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk (tea)
- 3 cups oil (for frying)
- ¼ cup (tea) of sugar and ½ tablespoon (soup) of cinnamon powder for sprinkling
Preparation
- Strain the flour into a bowl and add the sugar, egg and yeast
- Add the milk little by little, until you get a firm consistency (if necessary, use less than indicated)
- “Ping” the dough into the pan with already hot oil using a spoon
- Fry a few units, turning with a slotted spoon
- Place on paper towel
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
