There will be cake… and also lots of special beer at Empório Alto dos Pinheiros, on Carnival Monday (12/2), starting at 3pm.
Opened in 2008 and today a reference on the beer scene — and a safe haven for those who are always looking for new hops —, EAP, as it is affectionately called, completes 16 years run by the same duo, Paulo Almeida and Roberta Teixeira da Costa.
To celebrate, its 42 taps will be filled with special beers — in addition to the classics that always feature among those on tap. One of the new products is Cianita, from Tábuas Cervejaria, in Campinas. It is a Russian imperial stout with 11% alcohol, very liqueur, aged in a jequitibá barrel and with aromas of chocolate, coffee and spices. This is the only beer barrel outside of Campinas.
There is also a curious sour IPA, a collaboration between Captain Brew from Minas Gerais and Esacafandrista from São Paulo, named with the simple name Drive-in Jiu Jitsu Paradise. With 5.7% alcohol, it uses a good load of beloved and aromatic New Zealand hops.
In addition to the world of beers, Dádiva joins the party with Dádiva 9, a barrel aged cider, with 7.5% alcohol, made to celebrate nine years of the brewery founded by Luiza Lugli Tolosa. Yes, the anniversary was in 2023, but some labels need a little more time to mature.
“Over the years we have been fishing for different products besides beer. We have already made blends of beer with wine, for example. This time we are launching a cider that is, in fact, a blend of ciders aged in barrels. We arrived at a super complex and very elegant”, says Luiza, remembering that Dádiva Sept had already made a blend with Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
In addition to joining the EAP party, Dádiva 9 is in other specialized stores and on the brand’s ecommerce. More information on the profile @cervejariadadiva. And after so many beers (and cider), don’t forget: there will be cake. And if you have a hangover, there is now EAP Café next door.
