Ride on the Amazonbus, guided tour of cultural spaces and shows are part of the special program for children

Manaus (AM) – In celebration of Children’s Day, October 12th, the State Government, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, brings a diverse program with cultural and educational activities for children. The actions begin this Wednesday (04), in the State’s cultural spaces.

Children’s Week starts this Wednesday (04), from 2pm to 5pm, at Centro Cultural Palácio Rio Negro, Avenida Sete de Setembro, in the Center. Among the attractions, a guided tour of the space, educational and recreational games, such as workshops, competitions, movies and reading time in the Palace garden. The program is open for scheduling schools via email [email protected].

According to the manager of the Art and Education Center of the Culture and Creative Economy department, Ricardo Lopes, the cultural action gives families and the school community the opportunity to get to know cultural centers, in addition to ensuring fun for the children.

“This is how our children like and should be welcomed into our spaces, with lots of play and reading time so that they get to know and value our culture, expanding their worldview, through integration between them”,

highlights Ricardo.

On Saturday (07), from 8am to 12pm, the public has the chance to discover and tour the historic center of Manaus, on the AmazonBus. Departing for the Centro Cultural dos Povos da Amazônia, on Avenida Silves, Distrito Industrial, the bus leaves from Largo de São Sebastião. To participate, registration opens this Thursday (05), at 9am, via the link on social media @culturadoam. 65 places will be offered for children and guardians.

On Tuesday (10), 9am to 12pm, activities take place at the Provincial Palace, Heliodoro Balbi square, Centro. The program includes a guided tour of the space, followed by recreational activities for children. The program is open for scheduling schools via email [email protected].

Children’s shows – On Friday (06), the Teatro Gebes Medeiros, Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro (formerly Ideal Clube), hosts the “Children’s” concert, with the Amazonas Guitar Orchestra (Ovam), at 7pm. The repertoire includes themes from famous films and cartoons, as well as themes from children’s games. A show to enjoy, get involved in and remember childhood.

Also on Friday, at Teatro Amazonas, at 6pm and 8pm, Liceu Claudio Santoro presents the children’s musical “Pluft, Plaft, Zuum”, which takes an imaginary journey through the circus world, with captivating characters such as the little ghost Pluft and his friend Maribel . The musical repeats itself on Saturday (07), in two more sessions, at 6pm and 8pm. The attraction will have translation into Libras and audio description.

On Monday (09), at 2pm, the Provincial Palace auditorium hosts the Claudio Santoro Liceu Children’s Violin Orchestra.

Mania de Ler special – Closing the program, on Thursday (12), from 5pm to 7:30pm, Largo de São Sebastião hosts a special edition of Mania de Ler, a program to encourage children to read.

In addition to the “literary treasure hunt” game, there will be the distribution of gifts for children. The program includes the participation of an adapted van, containing a collection of more than 1200 children’s books, valuing Amazonian authors, folklore and northern culture.
