Pet friendly places are no longer new. Curitiba has a generous offer of bars, restaurants and other establishments that not only allow but encourage customers to bring their best four-legged friends to enjoy good times together. One of them took this possibility so seriously that it could even be classified as ‘human friendly’: Recanto Restô Bar, in Jardim das Américas.
“We want to provide an environment where guardians and pets can enjoy special moments together, without having to stay apart with the pets on one side and the tables on the other”, explains Cleide Cavalheiro, owner of Recanto.
The idea of the space is to fully embrace the proposal of a pet-friendly space. To this end, it even has a pet menu, developed by nutritionists and veterinarians. Drumsticks and kibes make up the mini-salted lunch box. There are also beef or chicken burgers available for pets. ““We want to provide a unique gastronomic experience for our furry friends”, highlights Cleide.
For owners, the options range from appetizers, dishes, snacks and a variety of drinks. The Rumsteak, grilled strips of rump with cheese fonduta, is one of the flagships, as is La Gautcha, a succulent Argentinean Milanese roast with buffalo mozzarella and rustic potatoes.
The Recanto Burger is the star of the house; Another highlight is the Surpresa Mineira dessert, a cheese semi-dredo from Serra da Canastra stuffed with creamy goiabada cascão.
The space has environments created for the well-being of pets, which also includes a ‘pet bar’, with toys and accessories, as well as hygiene items, pots for water and food, plus food options.
Recanto Restô Bar defines itself as a gastronomic refuge that embraces diversity and strengthens the bonds between owners and pets.
