São Paulo

A 1944 townhouse became home to ten kittens for adoption at Mi&Mo, a new cat café in Paraíso, a neighborhood in the south of São Paulo.

The public can interact with the cats in an open-air courtyard — you pay R$15 for half an hour. References to felines also appear in paintings in the decoration, in details in the cups in which special grain coffees are served and in the hot cheese (R$ 15), made on cat-shaped bread.

In the cafeteria, which is located in a separate space, you can try items such as apple cakes (R$ 10) and carrot cakes with chocolate topping (R$ 10), Italian straw cakes (R$ 10) and a portion of mini cheese bread (R$ 12).

To drink, coffees are served in different extraction methods, such as filtered (R$ 8) and espresso (R$ 8), and cold drinks, such as red fruit refreshment (R$ 15) and cold brew (R$ 10).

The restaurant was opened at the end of October by partners Talita Diniz and Bruno Tomaz, who worked together and left the corporate world to open the cat café. The name of the address is a tribute to Mimi and Momo, kittens rescued and adopted by Talita.

The cats, who have a temporary home at Mi&Mo, are from the NGO While There’s a Chance.
