The former director of the Federal Highway Police, Silvinei Vasques, is the target of a new investigation by the CPI on January 8th. He is part of the list of 117 names of people and companies that allegedly used cryptocurrency brokerages to finance coup acts.
In search of evidence, Senator Augusta Britto (PT-CE) filed a request with the Federal Revenue Service requesting financial transactions —deposits and withdrawals— of all brokerage houses operating in the country with the 117 names on the list.
These are people and companies identified as possible financiers or intellectual authors of the acts.
Among them is Silvinei Vasques, arrested this Wednesday (9) in a Federal Police operation that investigates the possible interference of the corporation in the second round of the 2022 elections.
In May, the PT senator had already asked the Revenue Service and the Central Bank for a list of brokerage firms that operate regularly in the country.
