São Paulo City Hall does not have enough doses of bivalent Pfizer to expand vaccination against Covid-19 for all priority groups.
This Tuesday (21), the Secretary of State for Health extended vaccination to all priority public, provided that municipalities have doses available.
In the city of São Paulo, however, the Municipal Health Department states that it only has doses available for the current eligible public: pregnant and postpartum women; seniors over 60 years old; in addition to people over 12 years of age with immunosuppression, indigenous people and residents of long-stay institutions (shelters and employees).
The folder states that it is waiting for new doses of immunizer to be sent by the national and state immunization programs to expand to other groups.
Until this Monday (20), 693,032 doses of immunizer were applied in the capital, according to the secretariat.
Also according to the folder, if there are remaining doses of bivalent Pfizer at a time close to the end of daily activities in the UBSs (Basic Health Units), health professionals will be able to receive the immunizer as long as they are residents of the same region as the unit.
