Cineteatro Guarany continues with free programming of Amazonian cinema this Saturday
Manaus (AM) – The “Cineclube de Arte” project, promoted by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, continues this Saturday (25th), at 6:30 pm. The program is free, recommended for those over 16 years old, and features four films by film and TV director and screenwriter Walter Fernandes Jr at Cineteatro Guarany, Avenida Sete de Setembro, 1546, Centro.
According to the secretary of culture, Marcos Apolo Muniz, it is a rewarding and continuous job to keep the Cineteatro busy and with good cinematographic options.
“The Cineteatro is a welcoming and very important cultural environment for Amazonian filmmakers. It is very rewarding to see spaces like this filled with people passionate about cinema, providing leisure and still maintaining the valued space”,
says the secretary.
The exhibition features four films with dramatic themes, parental problems, love and social perspectives: Nauseas from the Sacred Heart; Dispensation of Mechanical Love; Bass and Treble in Construction and The Hunger Strategy.

Sacred Heart Nausea (17 min) | Year: 2010
Synopsis: The last meeting between a dying father and his adult son with no prospects in life happens unexpectedly.
Dispensation of Mechanical Love (14 min) | Year: 2014
Synopsis: A man desperately seeks the return of love from his schizophrenic wife who now wants to live in her own world.
Bass and Treble Under Construction (14 min) | Year: 2021
Synopsis: A mason, a prostitute and a boy, unhappy with the lack of perspective in their lives, decide to change their behavior in order to transform today’s society.
Medium length: The Strategy of Hunger (39 min) | Year: 2022
Synopsis: A poor country boy gets lost in the city and meets a middle-class young woman who tries to revolutionize her own life.
