Next Monday (12), the most romantic day of the year is celebrated, the Valentine’s Day. As dinner is a tradition on the date, Bom Gourmet separated some of the main gastronomic options available to couples in love.

From those who prefer a haute cuisine restaurant, to those who choose the practicality of delivery, there are choices for every taste. Even for those who want to celebrate on another day of the week, some restaurants will have a special menu for couples as of Friday (9).

And for those who want to give a treat, there are also some options for irresistible gastronomic gifts.

Duke

On Monday, June 12th, Duq will open exclusively for Valentine’s Day, with a single menu system worth R$290 reais per person. The special menu will continue to be available throughout the week as well. Reservations can be made for two times, at 6:45 pm or 9:30 pm.

The restaurant has a wine list with labels of different styles, from different countries and producers. For those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks, the mocktail menu offers non-alcoholic drink options for customers.

Marcondes Authorial Cuisine

Valentine’s Day at Marcondes will have three sequence options. On the 11th and 12th of June, the house will present Sea, Land and Vegetarian menus. Dinner also comes with two glasses of sparkling wine and a selected wine. This order will cost R$ 645 for the couple.

The Mar sequence starts with a crispy nori tuna tartar, followed by a bisque cream. Then comes the seafood Cassoulet: a traditional French dish that, in this recipe, has squid, scallops, clams and shrimp in a sauce based on coconut milk, ginger and lemon grass. The menu continues with Octopus with yam muslin, pickles, roasted tomato and wasabi foam. Dessert is an iced banoffee pie.

The Earth menu starts with banana ceviche with tempura fish and mushroom cappuccino. Then there’s Kibebe with tucupi, jambu aioli and duck confit. Another main dish is black angus chorizo ​​steak in strips with a Provencal crust and grilled peach palm, ending with Zabaione with fresh forest fruits and reduction and port wine.

The third option is the Vegetarian sequence. The zucchini Envoltine with tofu and smoked almonds opens the order. Then there’s Caprese (burrata with roasted tomato and pesto) and Vegetarian stew (vegetables roasted on the grill and miso broth with nirá). Finally, there is eggplant and buffalo cheese lasagna with organic tomato sauce. The dessert for this order is Lemongrass Créme Brûlée.

SOFT IceCream

On Valentine’s Day, SOFT has a double ice cream promotion. On the 10th, 11th and 12th of June, the couple who kiss each other when purchasing any SOFT product will win another one just like it. This action is valid at stores in Curitiba and Ponta Grossa.

The menu features classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla, as well as exclusive flavors for different stores. The Batel and Ponta Grossa stores sell red fruit, and the store in front of the Oscar Niemeyer Museum sells yellow fruit. The cone has traditional dough options and chocolate dough, which receives black cocoa in the recipe.

Other desserts are included in the promotion, such as Damn Cookies n Cream, which has vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, black farofa and Oreos in a chocolate shell. At Brigadelicious, chocolate ice cream is combined with chocolate sauce, black farofa and callebaut chocolate candies, in a chocolate cascão.

The Greek restaurant Ícaro will offer a special menu for Valentine’s Day, on the 10th, 11th and 12th of June. For starters, the available options are Spanakopita, Greek Salad or Shrimp Croquette. For the main course, yellow hake, rack of lamb, octopus with rice or linguini. For dessert, the options are Baklava and Galaktoboureko. The price is R$390 for the couple, and dinner will be served at two times, at 7 pm or 9 pm.

Between the 9th and 12th of June, the Pobre Juan restaurant will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu, signed by chef Priscilla Deus. The starter is a mix of leaves, figs, Jamon flakes, almonds and balsamic vinegar reduction. For main course, there are two options: Grilled Salmon with Risotto Al Nero di Seppia and Champagne Sauce; Steak, potato mousseline, tartufo salsa, Malbec sauce and pistachio farofa. For Valentine’s Day, Toniolo Pães Artesanais offers a special basket, which can be ordered by delivery. From the 10th to the 17th of June, Valentine’s Week takes place at Cookie Stories. Dessert combos, double cookies and balloons with love messages are among the chain’s highlights.

The romantic season begins with the launch of The Cookie’s on the Table combo. The novelty consists of a 200 ml French Press coffee, a portion of mini cheese breads and the recently launched Cookie Gateau, inspired by the classic Petit Gateau that has cookie dough and fudge filling. During Valentine’s Week, the couple who go to one of the stores and order two The Cookie’s on the Table combos, the second one is half price.

There will also be an exclusive item for delivery, a customizable box of cookies with promotional value. Customers can choose Chocolate Chunk, Milk, Choco White, Cookietella, Red Milk, Lemon, Brigadeiro, or Salted Caramel flavors.

Gianttura Ristorante, by chef Hermes Custódio, will serve a special menu for Valentine’s Day, at dinners on the 10th and 12th of June. The menu with starter, main course and dessert will be offered for R$ 220.00 per person, including a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Reservations can now be made by calling (41) 99794-0219.

The menu starts with the starter options: Potage de pine nut (pine nut cream with fine herbs) or Beef Brisket Bruschetta with sautéed mushrooms and truffle oil). Then, couples can opt for one of the main dishes: Beef Wellington with mushroom duxelles and black truffle butter, served with potato aligot with semi-cured cheese and lardon sauce; Confit de Canard with lemongrass sauce and oriental vegetables; Prawns in Champagne sauce and handmade Provençal linguini or Pumpkin and spinach pie with sautéed mushrooms and grilled tofu (vegan option).
