Chandon celebrates 50 years in Brazil with special editions and book about its history in the country

“Chandon 50 years in Brazil, celebrating possibilities” is the theme of the campaign celebrating the sparkling wine brand’s five decades of activities in the country. A series of actions mark the anniversary, which ends on the official date, October 29th.

Among the actions adopted for the celebration is the “Cuvée 50 anos”, inspired by Chandon Réserve Brut, the brand’s flagship, with its traditional assemblage of Italic Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the three varieties that accompany the brand’s history throughout these 50 years. The special anniversary edition will have just 50,000 bottles and packaging designed by artist Ana Strumpf.

For this cuvée, Chandon worked with an unprecedented 50 months of yeast maturation, using its own method of long fermentation under continuous stirring that keeps the yeast permanently in suspension. As a result, an elegant sparkling wine with aromatic richness reminiscent of yellow peach, hazelnut and candied citrus with a velvety texture on the palate that combines freshness and creaminess.

Another surprise to celebrate 50 years is a limited and exclusive edition, with just 10 units, of the Chandon Excellence Magnum Collection. A kit with five numbered Magnum bottles that tell the story of the 2008, 2009 and 2012 vintages, already launched, the 2013 vintage, currently sold in 750ml bottles and the 2017 vintage, the next to be launched. The collection comes in special packaging, with a design developed by Estúdio Guto Rquena and La Baraque, with sustainability as a premise through plywood sheets with reforestation certification, which can be used as a bench or as a side table, among others. possibilities.

The brand also launches a book with the history of Chandon in Brazil, starting from its arrival in the country. And, on the 29th, it presents a partnership with 50 restaurants that will offer gastronomic experiences with typical Brazilian dishes paired with Chandon sparkling wine.
