The union centrals are going to propose a kind of salary floor for app deliverers, readjusted annually, in addition to companies’ counterparts in social security contributions.
The election is part of a list of 12 guidelines from CUT, UGT and Força Sindical that will be delivered during the first meeting of the Working Group created by the Lula government for the regulation of activities between delivery platforms, such as iFood and Rappi, and transport , like Uber.
The meeting is scheduled for the next 5th.
In addition to a monthly base, the centrals also defend a work bond, following the current legislation, in which regular workers will have an indefinite bond and casual workers will be defined as self-employed.
There is no agreement on this point with apps and the vast majority of app delivery drivers or drivers prefer to maintain autonomy. At Uber, for example, more than 40% already have a driver’s license and drive to supplement their income.
