Carf stops sessions due to tax auditors strike – 11/21/2023 – What tax is this

The Carf (Administrative Council for Tax Appeals) trial sessions are suspended due to the tax auditors’ strike movement that began on Monday (20). The body published an ordinance suspending the sessions this Tuesday (21).

“The measure is due to the lack of a quorum for the installation and deliberation of the collegiate, motivated by the adherence of advisors representing the National Treasury to the strike movement in the functional category”, says Carf in a note.

According to the president of Unafisco, Mauro Silva, the government is not complying with an agreement signed in 2016, the last year of Dilma Rousseff’s administration, which guarantees the category the payment of the efficiency and productivity bonus.

“Without this compliance, the auditors will remain on strike, impacting any Federal Revenue plan to increase revenue and reach the goal of zero deficit”, says Silva, citing the government’s expectation of increasing revenue with the return of a quality vote by a representatives of the Union.

According to Sindifisco Nacional, in addition to the removal of obstacles to the payment of the efficiency bonus, the demand includes full compliance with the Application Plan of the Special Fund for the Development and Improvement of Inspection Activities (Fundaf) for the year 2024, approved by Ordinance MF 727/2023.
