Calvo do Campari: the damage that a lone coach can cause – 18/04/2023 – Cozinha Bruta

If you don’t live in Jupiter, you should know who the “Campari bald” is.

Let’s explain anyway.

A certain Thiago Schutz, who calls himself a “masculinity coach”, during a podcast, used the drink as an example of resistance to a supposed attempt at domination by oppressive women.

In the hypothetical situation, Schutz calmly drinks Campari when he attacks a woman offering him beer – in his unique interpretation, this puts the man’s firmness of character to the test.

The speech was ridiculed in a video by comedian Lívia La Gatto; Schutz reacted with a threat to resolve the issue in the “bullet”.

That’s when the nickname “calvo do Campari” came up to refer to Thiago Schutz.

The episode occurred more than two months ago. To this day, most mentions of the word “Campari” on Twitter in Portuguese are jokingly accompanied by the expression “calvo do”. The mockery with the coach also rages on relationship app profiles.

This is a sample of how a single individual with crooked ideas can wreak havoc on a teamwork of many years.

Campari (the drink, not the business group that owns dozens of other brands) has a very interesting history of rebuilding its image.

Until a few years ago, the bright red, bittersweet liquid was something for old folks. Campari executives (the group) managed not only to rejuvenate the brand, but also to create a worldwide buzz around the Negroni cocktail – another classic for seniors.

Here comes the Campari bald head and leaves the mark associated with misogynistic, violent and unintelligent men.

Of course, Campari will always minimize the damage to its image, but it is obvious that there has been a considerable gap. So much so that, as soon as Schutz’s threats became widespread on the networks, the company made a point of releasing an official statement to say that it had nothing to do with the coach/influencer.
