Boram inaugurates factory in the Industrial Pole of Manaus and plans to earn BRL 69 million in 2023

Manaus (AM) – Gradually and sustainably transform the culture of urban mobility from combustion to electric in Brazil. With this premise, Boram Electric Motors was born in 2020 – a pioneering company in the North Region of the country that brought the brand’s first electric motorcycles to Manaus. In less than two years of operation in the market, the company announces the inauguration of a factory in the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM), scheduled for July this year.

The company already accumulates numbers that stand out in the market: it has eight stores in operation, five electric motorcycles in the portfolio, 1,200 units sold, R$ 13 million in revenue in 2022 and plans to increase revenue by 500% (5x ), the equivalent of BRL 69 million in 2023.

For the inauguration of the factory, more than R$ 10.2 million have been invested so far, of which R$ 3.6 million are allocated to the factory’s infrastructure, with operational capacity for production of up to 2 thousand units per month and another R$ 6, 6 million for the acquisition of inputs for production in the first months. The novelty will mark the beginning of the company’s import transition to local manufacturing.

Currently, the brand already has an engaged team of 44 employees; now the estimate is to generate another 25 direct and 25 indirect jobs in the industry and another 30 jobs in stores and distribution centers. Boram promises to establish itself as a reference in the sector.

From the North towards all the capitals of Brazil

The company’s new step is still born with the purpose of scaling the business throughout Brazil. Today, Boram stores are spread across the states of Amazonas, Rondônia and Roraima, but the roadmap on the scene aims to launch another 25 company-owned stores in each Brazilian capital by 2027.

These new units, called Flagships, will be support hubs for the brand’s satellite stores, covering both establishments located in the interior of the country and in malls, in addition to branches and accreditation of authorized/franchise resellers.

In addition to inviting people to live a new experience of urban mobility, completely in harmony with the environment, Boram drives innovation and impacts the way we come and go, highlighting the importance of sustainability. The brand also provokes the movement towards the electrification of cities with recharging stations and battery exchange with renewable energies; moreover, it already encompasses values ​​in practice resulting in success in less than two years on the market.

The focus on excellence in customer service and after-sales are proof of this. It is no coincidence that the brand already includes Boram Service in its flagships, the largest electric mobility service workshop in the northern region of the country, planned for an excellent after-sales service that addresses the exclusivity of electric products and privileges specialized service, in addition to the Boram Lounge, a space for convenience and integration of the brand’s users.

The Freire brothers’ business was born from the dream of visionary entrepreneurs. In search of sustainable technological solutions, Thiago and Hélio, who had already accumulated quite a few careers inside and outside large companies, discovered in electric motorcycles the potential to revolutionize mobility in Brazil.

Thiago brings together more than 17 years of experience in foreign trade, focused on the development of sustainable products in the Amazon and five more years as a product engineer at the multinational Nokia. Hélio, has 19 years of experience in the IT market where he held the position of manager in the area in large companies in the Industrial Pole of Manaus.
