Bolsonaro’s former Secom is hit by the rains and says he ‘is watching’ reports – 02/21/2023 – Panel SA

The former Secretary of Communication for the Jair Bolsonaro government, Fábio Wajngarten, was in São Sebastião, on the north coast of São Paulo, when heavy rains left a trail of destruction across the region. On Monday (20), Wajngarten shared a photo on the social network that shows a road covered in mud.

In the caption, he wrote that Maresias (one of the best known beaches in São Sebastião) was completely isolated. “I keep an eye on what is being said x what is actually happening. It’s good not to dissemble.”

In 2020, Wajngarten joined other residents of Maresias in opposing the City Hall’s intention to build a housing complex with 200 homes in the region.

Report by Sheet published at the time showed that the concern of the residents of Maresias was the precariousness of basic sanitation conditions in the place, given the possibility of increasing the number of residents in the area by up to 10% if the project went ahead.

In a report made to CNN and shared on his Instagram, Wajngarten said that he managed to return with his family to São Paulo. He also said he had used a tricycle to move to higher regions of the municipality, where it was possible to have a cell phone signal. Thus, he was able to ask for help and indicate the regions with the greatest problems.
