Manaus (AM) – Celebrating all forms of love and in the rhythm of Carnival, Bloco Sapatônica takes place this Friday (2), starting at 8 pm, at Casa Luppi, located at Rua Ferreira Pena, nº 139, in the Center of Manaus. With more than 6 hours of show, the line-up is made up only of LGBTs. Tickets are now on sale for R$30 and can be purchased via the Shotgun platform via the link or on the day of the event, at the box office.

The event is aimed at women who love women, who are building new families and occupy positions in society with great pride. For the block’s organizer and producer, Loren Lunière, Sapatônica gives visibility to an important fight for pride and the fight against intolerance, in addition to providing a unique meeting for artists and the public.

“We need to put the freedom of our bodies and the breaking of female vulnerability on the agenda. Sapatônica appears to be a space of ‘belonging’ and pride for lesbian women. A meeting between the public and artists, so that they can strengthen themselves and increase our visibility in the Amazonian society and its entire sexist, misogynistic and homophobic structure. We need to break the culture of harassment and rape of female bodies, lesbophobia, transphobia and biphobia. Therefore, bisexual and transsexual women are also welcome at Sapatônica”,

says Lunière.

M4fel, LLLuaninha, Rafa Militão, Rebecca Grana, with a special participation by Antônio Bahia, and Márcia Novo promise to rock the party.

Partnerships

In addition to the presentations, the block will have an exclusive space for the Empregay diversity fair and the Dona Bicha store, which promote entrepreneurship and creative economy aimed at the LGBTQIAPN+ public.

Part of the proceeds from Bloco Sapatônica will be donated to Casa Miga Acolhimento LGBT, which offers shelter for LGBTQIAPN+ people in the North Region who are expelled from home or are socially vulnerable.

“The partnership is extremely important, as it generates awareness. We are going to cultural and entertainment events and at the same time we can help the cause. The partnership between Casa Miga and Sapatônica has been going on since the first edition, in 2021”, highlights Karen Arruda, representative of Casa Miga.

Sapatônica will also have a Trans Free list, also in partnership with Casa Miga. Anyone interested can send a direct message on Instagram @casamigalgbt, the form will also be made available on the profile soon. “People often don’t have the opportunity to participate in events with the block’s structure and by having the list we are able to give them that access”, explains Karen.
