Beverage manufacturer offers 3,000 beer knowledge scholarships to women

Aimed at the productive inclusion of women in the beer market, the course strengthens female participation in the sector through knowledge, specialization and opportunity

For the fourth consecutive year, Ambev’s Beer Academy opens its doors to the largest course in the beer segment exclusively for women: CervejeiraSouEu. This time, 3,000 places will be offered with 100% free registration and participation, for women from all regions of the country.

The course is an introductory course on the world of beer and the areas of professional activity it allows. Over the last three years, the course has impacted more than three thousand women in all states of Brazil, promoting female productive inclusion in the sector.

Online and free, designed to be accessible to all interested women over 18, CervejeiraSouEu is developed and taught by a team of female experts, sommelières and brewers, with live classes divided into four modules. The content covers topics ranging from the origin and importance of the drink in the evolution of civilization, the stages of its production, from raw materials to the bottle, the role of each ingredient, to styles and possible pairings.

To participate, simply access the Academia da Cerveja website. At the end, students receive a certificate of completion.

The name of the course was a provocation to the use of the term “brewer”, commonly related to the appliance. In 2021, when CervejeiraSouEu was launched, Ambev ran a campaign to reframe and recognize professionals who work in the beer market.

Since 2022, Ambev has made productive inclusion the path for Brazilians to grow with opportunities for connections, knowledge and income, contributing to reducing social exclusion and strengthening people’s independence, especially women. The initiative is part of Ambev’s productive inclusion platform, which aims to impact 5 million people by 2032.

In addition to CervejeiraSouEu, Ambev will also offer introductory courses to the world of beer for its employees and food safety courses for women in the manufacturing industry.

About the Beer Academy

The Beer Academy is a collaborative space created in 2020 by Ambev to promote beer culture and democratize knowledge about the drink, elevating the Brazilian sector to high performance.

The initiative represents the materialization of projects aimed at brewing education in recent years and the partnership between important components of the national and international market, such as VLB Berlin, Escola Superior de Cerveja e Malte and Instituto Ceres.
