‘BBB 23’ sisters show off the makeup hits of the moment, and an expert gives tips

Another edition of “Big Brother Brasil” has begun, and the hits of the summer when it comes to make-up appear right at the beginning. In last year’s edition, for example, the eyeliner used in the reality show went viral abroad.

To help those who want to start 2023 on top of what’s booming in the hottest season of the year, Canal Extra spoke with beauty expert Priscila Miguel to gather five make-up trends that are displayed by the sisters. There are tips for the skin, lips and eyes, which participants of “BBB 23” were already betting on even before entering the most watched house in Brazil. Check out!

Those who love highlighting their lips can use and abuse vibrant lipsticks. Priscila guarantees that the reds, already on the rise last season, will continue to dominate. “We spend considerable time wearing a mask due to the pandemic. It drew attention away from the lips. Now, we want to show what was hidden for more than two years”, she adds. For her official photo (left) as a participant in “BBB 23”, for example, singer Aline Wirley bet on color. Already inside the most guarded house in the country, makeup artist Marília, from the popcorn group, used a pinker tone to give a “tchan” to the look for the first edition party.

To complement the make-up on the lips and give it a more modern look, another trend this year is to apply a transparent gloss over the lipstick, ensuring the effect of a lacquered mouth, as actress Bruna Griphao did in one of her makeups before the confinement.

Skin ‘I woke up beautiful’

According to the beauty expert, summer 2023 makeup is designed to show that the skin is well cared for. A light base with lighting at strategic points is the “order” of the moment. “To give a supernatural effect and make it look like you’re not wearing anything, stick to liquid products. This will provide a ‘glow’ effect, which is on the rise”, says Priscila.

Volleyball player Key Alves is one of the celebrities who have already bet on this look. In the photo above, already inside the “BBB 23” house, the athlete wore only corrective make-up to disguise dark circles and small blemishes. Paula (on the right) is another one who invested in this footprint in her official photo for the reality show.

Practicality is the fashion for 2023. Priscila guarantees that, in order to stay within the trends of the year, it is not necessary to know how to do complex makeup: smokey hair done with only one color is a guarantee of getting the make-up right. “Especially if you use summer colors: blue and lilac. You can even spread the shadow with your finger and you will get the desired effect. It is practical and has a beautiful result”, says the specialist. Aline Wirley has also shown that she is one of those who follow the eye color trend right at the first “BBB 23” party.

The fashion established in makeup since last year — Jade Picon, for example, was successful with the hearts made with eyeliner at “BBB 22” — will be maintained this summer. The technique can be done with eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner and even blush.

You can be creative and also dare in formats and colors, as Marvvila already did when using colored eyeliner even before the confinement. At a party at the house, Amanda also invested in the trend, albeit in a more basic little black dress.

The eyebrows combed up, known as soap brows, left the fashion catwalks. Model and social activist Domitila Barros, who was elected Miss Germany 2022, has already shared a photo on her networks using exactly this technique. And, to give the laminated effect, much adopted by celebrities, you only need a glycerin soap and an eyebrow brush. “Just wet the brush, apply it to the soap and comb the hair upwards. The soap holds the effect very well and leaves a very natural look”, explains the specialist.
