Desenrola Brasil, launched on July 17 by the federal government, has already enabled the renegotiation of R$5.4 billion in debts in the first three weeks of the program’s effectiveness, which runs until December 31.
There are more than one million contracts renegotiated and almost 5 million records of customers cleared by financial institutions who had bank debts of up to R$ 100.00.
Last week, the renegotiation of debts more than doubled in relation to the previous two weeks. The value reached represents an increase of 116% in relation to the R$ 2.5 billion added in the previous 15 days. Likewise, the number of debt contracts negotiated is twice as high as the 400,000 contracts verified up to the 30th.
“This expressive adherence of the population to Desenrola Brasil proves the interest of society and Brazilian families in regularizing their economic situation and the success of this action by the government and banks”, evaluates the president of the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), Isaac Sidney“ .
He complements by stating that reducing the number of negative consumers and helping millions of citizens to reduce their indebtedness will have a very positive effect on the Brazilian economy.
