The Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) updated this Friday (16) the list of cars that will be sold at a discount in the program launched by the government. The MDIC reported that the total number of versions included by automakers in the initiative rose to 266. These versions correspond to 32 models from nine automakers.
So far, the department has authorized the use of 170 million in tax credits, divided as follows: FCA Fiat Chrysler and Volks (R$ 30 million each); GM, Peugeot Citroen, Hyundai and Renault (R$ 20 million each); Honda, Nissan and Toyota (R$ 10 million each).
“The resources must be converted into consumer discounts at the time of sale of the vehicle. The total is equivalent to 34% of the credit available for this modality (R$ 500 million). In relation to the first balance of the program, there was an increase of R$ 20 million”, said the ministry, in a note.
The program foresees discounts, in the case of cars, from R$ 2 thousand to R$ 8 thousand; in trucks and buses, from R$ 33.6 thousand to R$ 99.4 thousand. These amounts will be deducted at the time of purchase from the dealership.
