Special Christmas Drum Rehearsal and Aparecida Convida are the highlights of the school’s program this weekend
Manaus (AM) – Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Mocidade Independente de Aparecida opens its doors to welcome co-sisters GRCES A Grande Família and GRES Unidos do Alvorada, in the second edition of the ‘Aparecida Convida’ project, which takes place next Saturday (23), with start at 7:30 pm. The event takes place outside the school court, located on Rua Ramos Ferreira, South Zone of Manaus, and entry is free.
The project aims to demonstrate unity between samba schools in Manaus. This weekend, ‘Soberana’ invited co-sisters A Grande Família and Unidos do Alvorada, who will take a complete show to the Aparecida court, with drums, dancers, drum queens, master room couples and flag bearers, baianas, front committee, among other sectors of the association.
Battery Test
In addition to the meeting between the schools on Saturday, Aparecida also holds the Special Christmas Drum Rehearsal, on Friday (22), at 7:30 pm, in the outside area of the club’s court. Bateria Universidade do Ritmo’s rehearsals are open to the public, who can closely follow the school’s preparation for Carnival 2024.
In the final stretch, Aparecida intensified the rehearsals with all aspects, using drum rehearsals as a way to improve the evolution of the presentations. During rehearsals, the public watches the performances of dancers, drum queens, muses, master-sala and flag-bearer couples and child muses.
The Manaus Special Group parade takes place on February 3rd. With the plot “Madeira is a witness. The forest, the cradle, struggle, sweat and union for eternity. Aparecida comes to show the saga of the Cidade family”, ‘Soberana’ is the 5th school to pass through the samba avenue.
