The disputes will contract existing plants to supply the distributors. The plants will be contracted for two years. Aneel forecasts that the contracted projects will start operations on January 1, 2024 and on January 1, 2025. According to Aneel, there will be no readjustment in the price of energy sold in these auctions and the “hydrological risk” of the plants will be assumed by the winning companies. The so-called “hydrological risk” is a concept for the difference between the energy generated by hydroelectric plants and the stipulated minimum amount.
