This Tuesday, Aneel also determined the tariffs for the use of the transmission system paid by power generation plants and consumers. Rates had an average readjustment of 12.9% for the consumer segment and 4.4% for power plants. The amounts go into effect on July 1st until June 30th, 2024. The agency determined that the permitted annual revenue (RAP) of the transmitters will be R$ 48.7 billion for the 2023 and 2024 cycle. of 14.3% in relation to the previous cycle, when it was R$ 42.6 billion. The concession model limits the revenue allowed for transmission companies, which is readjusted by Aneel. Revenue is the remuneration received by companies for operating the public service. According to Aneel, the increase is due to the readjustment for inflation, considering the General Price Index – Market (IGP-M) and the IPCA. The agency also justifies the increase due to the entry of 23 new projects in the energy transmission system, the budget of the National Electric System Operator (ONS) and changes in the work schedule.
