Manaus (AM) – Consumers in Amazonas are the ones who most seek credit to clear their name. The survey “Regional Finance: differences in the relationship with money between the States of Brazil”, carried out by Serasa in partnership with Opinion Box, shows that 27.3% of locals are looking for an alternative to stay in the green.

It is also worth highlighting that 57% of Amazonians say they have sought an extra limit in the last year. The most sought after and contracted methods are credit cards (60%) and personal loans (50%).

The Serasa study also analyzed Brazilians’ favorite payment methods. Installment payments, for example, are on the rise: 7 out of every 10 people buy in installments in the country. The factors most considered before purchasing are the availability of money in the account (27%) and interest charges (25%).

In Amazonas, in turn, 75% of consumers choose to divide amounts into installments. The bank slip is the most common payment method (35%). As throughout Brazil, third-party credit cards (33%) and store-specific credit cards (27%) are also highly sought after to dilute values ​​over time.

The research also provides insights into financial organization. 50% of respondents from Amazonas say they monitor their finances on a monthly basis. The main goals are to save for a future goal (43%) and avoid debt (38%).

Another important fact is that the State is the most optimistic regarding personal finances (65%), compared to recent years.
