With EduMaker Brasil and EduSapiens, entrepreneur and pedagogue Jhony Abreu helps several students to stimulate skills and prepare for the challenges of the future
Manaus (AM) – In an increasingly digital society, valuing technology as an instrument to stimulate innovation, creativity, logical reasoning and critical thinking is essential. And this is the mission of Amazonian entrepreneur and pedagogue Jhony Abreu, creator of the startup EduMaker Brasil and the company EduSapiens, both focused on educational robotics.
Mastering in Emerging Technologies in Education at Must University (USA), Jhony comments that, during his academic training, he realized the potential of robotics as a learning tool, which encourages students to understand how technology works in practice and, consequently, to become prepare to identify new opportunities and create creative solutions when they need to meet current market demands.
“Working with educational robotics and technological innovations emerged in my life as a quest to provide students with an education that is more engaging, practical and in line with the demands of the 21st century. I started to explore this area, participating in courses, workshops and researching the subject. I realized that robotics and emerging technologies were excellent tools to develop skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and creativity”,
emphasizes.
Based on this conviction, the pedagogue started his entrepreneurial journey in the area in 2017, implementing the startup EduMaker (an educational robotics program, which was officially founded in 2020) and creating EduSapiens, which offers pedagogical projects related to educational robotics, in addition to advisory services and pedagogical training in private schools. Genuinely from Amazonas, the proposals have a group of professionals from different areas of knowledge, all natives of Manaus.
Today, more than 20 schools have already been assisted with the projects in the capital of Amazonas and more than three thousand students have had access to the learning method focused on the concrete application of mathematics, physics and science concepts.
“Over the years, I have worked to integrate robotics and technological innovation into school curricula, empowering teachers and providing resources for students to explore the world of technology in practical and creative ways. I believe that educational robotics can arouse students’ interest, promote meaningful learning and prepare them for the challenges of the future”, he points out.
emphasizes.
Protagonists of the Process
Specialist in school administration, coordination and supervision and in neuropsychopedagogy with an emphasis on special and inclusive education, Jhony saw technology as a resource for cognitive transformation and individual training and has already accumulated good results with this choice.
“My work in this area has been rewarding, as I see the positive impact that robotics and technological innovations can have on education, stimulating critical thinking, solving complex problems and developing the necessary skills for future professionals”,
comment.
Anyone who thinks that educational robotics is limited to classrooms is wrong. As protagonists in the learning process, students learn to solve problems quickly, to have more self-confidence, to adapt, to communicate and to work as a team, skills necessary for the job market.
According to Jhony, in addition to working with programming and robotics, EduMaker and EduSapiens broadly explore technological education as a human development resource.
“Even if not all students work in the engineering or related field, it is the function of education to prepare them for the future, providing opportunities for the development of logical reasoning, socio-emotional skills and problem solving”,
asserts.
The entrepreneur and educator makes it clear that these results are in line with his commitment to integrating technology in a meaningful way in the education of students. “I am committed to providing students with a quality education that prepares them for the challenges of the modern world and promotes their development as full and conscious individuals.”
