Project will arrive on digital platforms from this Friday

Manaus (AM) – The singer Elisa Maia presents the new live audiovisual EP entitled “Dança Sozinha Sessions”. With musical and artistic direction, signed by her, the project brings four tracks that explore a diversity of musical styles, with influences in the sound that go from 90’s rock to reggae, R&B and electronic programming.

The “Dança Sozinha Sessions” will have an exclusive preview, this Thursday (03), at 7 pm, with a screening at Cineteatro Guarany, Avenida Sete de Setembro, Downtown. The public will also be able to exchange ideas about the production with the artists and technical professionals involved. Access is free and ranking is free. On Friday (04/08), the EP arrives on YouTube and on all digital platforms.

Elisa Maia’s project was contemplated by the Creative Culture Program 2020/ Lei Aldir Blanc – Feliciano Lana Award and brings a production that involved more than 30 professionals.

The Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, emphasizes the promotion of culture by the State Government, through public notices with the support of the Federal Government.

“Like Aldir Blanc, the Paulo Gustavo Law came to add and renew the look of the artistic scene, with more emphasis on the audiovisual sector. Soon we will have public notices available for culture makers, artists, agents and producers to register their projects to receive federal funding”, said the secretary. “Elisa Maia and other Amazonian artists have a lot to add in the creation of new references, new languages, generating a positive impact on the collective”,

concludes Apollo.

Diversity

The EP “Dançando Sozinha Sessions” marks the end of a phase of the singer that, according to her, new works will soon be released. The current one features previously released songs: “Luas Pra Tantas Faces” (2020), “Sol De Setembro” (2020), “Todo Politics Curativo” (2021) and “Beleza” (2023). However, in these new live versions, Elisa Maia offers new vocal nuances and reedited arrangements, in addition to incorporating unprecedented audiovisual elements.

Filming took place at the end of 2021, in theater and studio, providing different atmospheres and original narratives to the videos.

Elisa Maia, who is also the composer of the songs, assumes the artistic and musical direction of the project, where she expresses her influences, in lyrics that address themes that reflect on the body, self-esteem, heartbreak, loneliness, anxiety, anguish, redemption and strength , all drawn from their personal experiences.

“The live session fulfills the mission of making my music and my voice reach where I haven’t reached with the show, including audiences that were not reached by the original versions of the songs. The project is also a celebration of my image, of my body”, said the singer. “I am a black woman, from an urban Amazon with few references and my work is crossed by experiences in that place. In the end, dancing alone is also composing for the collective”,

comments Elisa Maya.

The artist repeats the partnership with professionals from audiovisual manauara and has the general direction of Victor Kaleb, Robert Coelho in the direction of photography, Gisa Almeida in the executive production and Francisco Ricardo, in the art direction.

Music producer and audio engineer Beto Montrezol (editing, mixing and mastering) and vocal coach and singer Ellen Fernandes (vocal preparation and direction) also participated. In all, the production directly involved 33 professionals.
