Amazonian Filmmakers Exhibition wins another edition this Saturday in Manaus

This time, the program highlights the filmography of filmmaker Juan Lopes

Manaus (AM) – In yet another edition of the Amazon Film Festival, Cineteatro Guarany presents this Saturday (23), starting at 6:30 pm, a program with productions by filmmaker Juan Lopes. The exhibition features five suspense and horror short films. The exhibition is open to the public, with a rating for people over 12 years old.

Juan Lopes, from Amazonas, director of Sr. Lopes Produções, photographer, audiovisual producer and video editor, has a filmography of more than 20 films, working as a director for more than 17 years. Among his works are the independent shorts: “Smile at Me”, “The Midnight Shadow”, “The Bet” and the feature films “The Unidentified Visit: Revelations” and “The Evil Host”.

According to Juan, the exhibition is a warm-up for the release of the feature film “The Evil Host 2”, a sequel to one of the films shown at the exhibition. “I’m very happy with the publicity of the exhibition and for those who don’t know my work, this is a great opportunity to get to know it”,

The director also highlights the importance of the event. “These activities are very important to promote our culture and independent cinema, which is shown in the space, mainly to show it to the public, especially people who do not have access to these programs”,

The Amazon Film Festival is an initiative of the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, with the aim of facilitating access to culture through audiovisual media.
